The only risk is that our men (or women :P) will be sick even more and then we give the meds. Such damage can be treated while lying in bed (it may takes a few days tho). If you have very little med and bandages it is not worth wasting them when your people are slight sick or slight wounded. Otherwise you people get sick and need medication. Always throw inn to all furnaces 6 fuels to maintain the temperature. Come out cheaper than the upgrades of the first and it will be better effect. When you can’t get the temperature on one simple heat above 15 degrees you should build another one. The most important don’t kill civilians who try survive the war (excluding the bad guys ). Otherwise they will be broken and can escape or hang up.
If our people have depression you should give them moonshine or good quality alcohol to drink, take the random missions during the day (for example help your neighbors), play on the guitar if you have it, listen to the radio (music), build armchair, get a book to read, coffee cigarettes (any kind) if you have people that used them, talk to other characters who are depressed (cloud on you men) then you reduce depression. Remember to leave melee weapon to defend at night. Better you take the ammo (without gun if you don’t needed) on you backpack to scavenger.
If you have low on ammunition and you needed it in some locations to kill someone, you better not live ammunition with a gun in a shelter, because when you are ride at night you people can consume a lot of to defense. All depends when locations appeared earlier or later in the game and when we will go there. Mary’s Church in the beginning is safe locations, we can trade or scavenge but if we go there about day 20 we can spot there bandits.
